This lovely cottage was just gorgeous, and I absolutely loved staying there. Its quiet and on a working farm. The owners were very accomodating and super friendly. Just really enjoyed my time there.

Very homely, had everything we needed. Comfortable. Great value. Loved it. Our 2 yo loved the dogs and tractors. It had a highchair for the baby. Even a baby spoon!

I stayed here with my two little girls (2 and 4) on the way back from Adelaide - and it was gorgeous. It's just like going to stay at your grandma's house out in the country or something - a gorgeous old-style house which looks to have been built in the 1900s, but with all the mod cons and updates that are needed. The house was lovely and warm for us (it was a cold and windy day) when we arrived, and we loved being able to put on the log fire, wash and dry out clothes in the laundry, and it was a godsend having a box of toys for the girls to play with that wasn't their own!The continental breakfast was lovely - orange juice, a selection of muesli/cereal, and bread in the fridge for us, along with butter, jam, vegemite and PB. My favourite were the eggs in the fridge, which I presume came from the hens on the farm, which we scrambled up for breakfast!I loved the many nooks and crannies in the house with different bedrooms - it felt so warm and welcoming, and would be great to go away for big families for a week or more. The main downside is that it's far from much "to do", but at the same time, that's really a great selling point because sometimes it's nice to get away, chill out, disconnect, go for walks and potter around.I only wish there were more farm stays like this out my way (east Victoria), because this is exactly the type of place I would love to stay every time - cosy, homely, old-timey but with all the mod cons.Thank you Jo & James for a lovely stopover on the way back!

Hospitality absurlutlie gorgeous and ,lovely and clean, and peaceful .owners are very lovely people.

We had a fantastic time at Dunalan Cottage. It was so peaceful and a great spot to stop on the way to Melbourne. Our dogs loved the space and smells! it was great that they are allowed inside the cottage. The hosts are lovely and welcoming. We were able to freely use the grounds and we were provided with delicious home made goods and fresh breakfast items. Our son enjoyed feeding the chickens and meeting the friendly farm dogs and cat. The surrounding area provided lots of space for walking and great photo opportunities. We would have loved to have stayed longer and will do next time. Highly recommended.
