Awesome service, perfect for a snack and lunch. Delicious food. Local and fresh
Favourite pit-stop in Bordertown. Often we'll grab a pie and slice and take down to the creek or park to enjoy. Bakery has freshly baked goods, sufficient drink range, service with a smile, and EFTPOS available. Pies have actual chunks of meat, and my personal favourite is the lamb yiros with garlic sauce. All reasonably priced too. They also have seating available in the cafe area.
Signs say they will make sandwiches and rolls till 1.30pm. It's 1.15pm and I'm told they are only making 1 type of roll. I get a look of disbelief from Carol when I decline. The rest of the family are satisfied with their pastries but the 20 minute wait for a hotdog is a joke. There are no toilets which is unusual for a building seating over 50, presumably they think the dirty public toilets outside are good enough for their customers. I leave disappointed as the location, building and seating areas are good.
A quick break for morning tea at the Boarder Town, South Australia before going to Victoria. It is a local bakery with sitting area, the sausage roll a bit soft pastries. The wrap and finger buns were good.
Coffee cold. Disappointed . Food was ok. Mine to be reheated but tasty. M y friends bread base far too thick needed only half slice. Staff obliging.
